Corporate PR
Planning a corporate anniversary would be really fun. There are enough odd facts and quirks when working at an office, people are much more likely to cheer and clap when participating in a celebration. There could be bulk anniversary cards made for the employees that have numerous odd facts about the birth of the company and how it has grown over the years. Then there could also be business anniversary cards that are sent to customers informing them of the celebration. A corporate anniversary party could be a huge affair. Hosting a picnic outside or in a park would be inviting and a lot of people may come.
If you get the community involved, it could be that much more memorable and help public relations. I heard a story once of a group of bikers who were taking shelter under a shed due to inclement weather when a Miller truck came rumbling by. The driver stopped and pulled two cases of beverages from the rig and brought them over to the truck. It was a hugely considerate gesture, and he most likely earned the company a few loyal customers in the process. Really smart move and it benefited everyone involved.
