Some Day, Home Decor, Some Day
I know that I still have a while before I have enough money for a whole new living room set, but I’ve already begun thinking about home decor items. Sure, I thought about it some right before I got married, but only because we were registering for things. Even then it was more that we were thinking about the items that we wanted, not about matching colors and styles.
But now that I’ve had some time to think about home decor items a little bit, I have begun to make some decisions. First off, I love polka dots. My husband is also partial to them, and luckily so. We have polka dot glasses that I got at my bridal shower. They are great. Polka dots are in. (But polka dots are still not good on clothes, just to clarify.)
Second, I love the color red. It has to be a particular shade of red, though. I don’t need a house full of home decor items that make my eyes burn when I look at them. (We have a comforter that does just that. I’m thinking about using it wrong-side up just to protect my eyes.) I want something that is a deep crimson color. I think that crimson, when paired with just the right color blue look fabulous together.
Only time will tell what we really get. My tastes have changed before and they will probably change again. But until then, home decor items, I will be thinking about you.
